Six dynamic veteran musicians came together during the rains of 2011, to form a unique musical ensemble with Orlando de Noronha on violin, mandolin and vocals; Siddharth Cota on main vocals and Spanish guitar; Kevin Mendes on keyboards, piano accordion and vocals; Joaquim D'Costa on acoustic drums and vocals; Armando D'Cruz on bass guitar; and Irene Rocha on main vocals. Recently, Armando has been replaced by Shelton Afonso on bass guitar and vocals. Individually, all the musicians have played in various bands and musical set-ups for all types of shows and in different locations and countries.

 

Music from 1890 to 1980! Versatyle was formed with a focus on playing music from across the world and time from classy ballroom to nostalgic retro, rendered absolutely live with zest and innovation. The repertoire consists of traditional Goan, West European music including Portuguese folk music, French, Brazilian and Spanish, Latin American, Jazz and Blues, country and pop music from 1960 to 1990

 

The Band plays for wedding receptions, anniversaries, parties, NRI weddings, corporate events and has also performed regularly at restaurants like Cavala, Fisherman's Cove, Casino Royale, Backyard, Rewind, etc. With this new line-up of experienced, talented and innovative musicians, Versatyle intends to be a refreshing change to the Goan music scenario, bringing happiness to people with their various instruments and genres of music, and also perform and release their own music at a later stage.
